How to sew your lace front wig

As we know, lace front wigs have the soft lace on our head. Lace brings you the natural hairline, The lace front option is usually more affordable than the full lace wig. But do you know the safe way to sew the wig in place?

1.Preparing your hair and the lace front wig

First, Braid your hair. To ensure that your hair lies flat under the wig, divide the hair into several lines. Use the basic 3 strands of braids at the beginning of each line, and then proceed to the next line, adding a little hair each time you crisscross. When you reach the end of the scalp, please braid the remaining hair all the way to the end.

Choice a cotton thread matching the wig to insert the large C-shaped needle. Please make sure that the thread closely matches the hair on the wig so that no stitches can be seen.
When you sew a lace front wig, a curved needle is best, because the tip of the needle will bend away from the scalp.
Second, cut the lace front to fit ear to ear and use scissors to cut excess lace. Lace front wig is a good choice for this step, it can cover your head from the hairline to top. Celie human hair wigs have different lace styles for you, it can meet all your requirement. It has a full lace front wig, if you purchase full lace wigs, you can jump this step.

If you want, wear a cap or sock hat. You may find it will help reduce the itching associated with wearing a wig. If you do wear a hat, you can sew a few stitches near the bottom of the hat, temple, crown and neck as needed. Make sure to pass the needle through a braid to secure the cap.

2.Sewing the Lace Front

First, Put your wig on your head, the hairline is exactly where you want it. If you are using a complete wig, wear it on your entire head. If you wear a lace front wig, place it on the front so that the front is along the hairline, and the back usually falls before the top of the head. If the hairline of the wig is aligned with the natural hairline, the effect is best, but you can try to raise or lower it a bit. It is important to align the hairline of the wig to the desired position, because once it is sewn, it is difficult to adjust.

Second, Weave the wig along the braid closest to the ear. Use one hand to firmly hold the hairline of the wig in place, and then hold the curved needle through the lace near the ear near the front of the wig. Push the needle into the braid, and then pull the thread out of the braid and through the lace according to the natural curve of the needle. Continue to make small, neat stitches along the length of the braid, then tie a knot behind the ear and cut off excess thread. Whether your braid extends from front to back or down from the center, you should have a braid behind each ear. Stitch along the braid.

Finally, Trim all visible lace on the hairline. If this is your first time wearing this lace front wig, there may be some extra lace on the front of the wig. After sewing the wig firmly in place, use nail scissors or another pair of small scissors to cut off any visible lace. Please be careful not to cut it into a real wig when performing this operation. You can only cut off the extra lace along the forehead. If you want some baby hair, you can use a your finger or brush to make it look more natural.
